Does it mean so much that you can’t put it all in words? Is it your hobby? Your lifestyle? Can you recall most of your happy memories and associate them with the outdoors? Or is getting outside your form of therapy? Or all of the above?
I come from a small history of outdoorsmen. I was introduced to the outdoors and the passion for all things included by my grandpa. My grandfather was a fisherman by hobby taking his boat out on weekend mornings. Trying his best to fill a basket of pan fish for that night’s supper. By taking me out as a 3 year old he sparked my interest in the outdoors that bloomed into my current lifestyle of hunting, fishing, camping and homesteading. Everyone with interest in being outdoors has a similar but also unique memory or story with how it all began..
As the world changes it seems the way tradition is passed down is too.. Learning online has replaced a lot of the personal interaction many of us can relate to our first time in the woods or in a boat.
However you learn, what’s most important is how we conserve our land. With that comes alot of controversy of respect and ethics people put into motion all circling back to their passion. So what is right? Morally I think all of us can agree on certain views. What ever maintains our native species and native lands.
The-Trading Post not only provides opportunities for outdoorsmen and women but we stand up and reach out to those who may have never gotten the opportunity. To bring new minds and eyes for animal and land conservation.. To inspire.. to lead. is not just to have a site for people to take their outdoors adventures to the next level but to bring in new minds and eyes to this lifestyle. Not everyone will be a hunter or a camper but everyone will be in love with nature in more than one way. We as outdoorsmen and women have to take on the responsibility to flip the script on the views others have.
